Well it was a hell of a weekend, it got cold, but we managed to harvest some ducks and a pig within the first few hours of the morning. Though I was unable to capitalize on harvesting a deer (my fault) I did take a pig and had a great time. I want to give special thanks to Chris, Doug, and Josh Over The Edge Outdoors and a very special thanks to the land owner Glen for opening his ranch to this fine organization.

Couldn’t have asked for a better first experience hunting, my daughter and I got picked for a doe hunt and got lucky enough to bag two! Mr. Chris is extremely passionate about what he does and it really shows. Over the Edge Outdoors is an awesome non-profit that truly cares about vets and active duty members that love the outdoors. They went as far as to pay for our deer to be processed and the local butcher. Our family couldn’t be more thankful and hope to see this awesome organization help more vets! Thank you thank you thank you!

Finally got to take down a hog last night and what a way to do it with a knife. Thanks to Chris Ellenburg at Over The Edge Outdoors for setting this hunt up and allowing me to go on it. Also big thanks to Chad Horton for putting me on this big guy with his dogs and being an awesome host last night. I’m sure this hunt will always be up there as one of my favorites.
